Qn Alliance Annual Meeting – July 3–4, 2025

VIU is a proud member of Qn – 360-degree Quality, Query-driven and Quintuple Helix (5Helix), a European university alliance made up of six institutions committed to Higher Education innovative collaboration. This alliance has recently renewed its long-term commitment by aligning institutional priorities and setting a shared strategic roadmap, developed during the first half of 2025. The Annual Qn Alliance Meeting, coordinated by VIU’s International Research Projects Office (IRPO), will take place in Valencia on July 3–4, 2025. This key event will shape the future direction of the alliance for the coming two years. Discussions will focus on strategy development, evaluation of member engagement and the potential inclusion of new partner universities.

7th International Engineering and Technology Management Summit

The 7th International Engineering and Technology Management Summit (ETMS 2025) will be hosted by Abdullah Gül University in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University and Bahçeşehir University, under the theme “Engineering Management Tomorrow – AI, Humanity, and Sustainability in Harmony”. This esteemed academic event will take place at Abdullah Gül University Sümer Campus in Kayseri, Türkiye, on October 23-25, 2025.

2025 EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg

The Qn alliance will be represented in the programme of the 2025 EAIE Annual Conference (9th to 12nd September in Gothenburg, Sweden). This event brings together over 7,300 participants in more than 240 sessions. It is focused on international education. The session titled “Universities and Quadruple Helix Co-Creation – Are living labs the game changer for impact?” will be chaired by Toñi Caro, Director of the International Research Project Office (IRPO) at Valencian International University (VIU), inviting participants to explore the evolving role of universities as they strive to embed innovation beyond entrepreneurship, redefining it as a core mission of local and international agendas.

2025 EUA Annual Conference “Connecting the dots on sustainability and resilience”

The 2025 EUA Annual Conference will take place on 10th and 11th April at the University of Latvia, Riga, and it will strive to define what sustainability and resilience, as multi-faceted concepts, mean for universities. One day before, several Qn alliance universities will make an official visit and hold a working session at EKA University of Applied Sciences.

As part of the ongoing efforts to foster excellence and innovation within the Qn Alliance of Universities, José Martí Parreño –Vice-Rector for Research, Knowledge Transfer, and Internationalization; and Toñi Caro – Director of the International Research Project Office (IRPO) at Valencian International University (VIU), will visit EKA University of Applied Sciences in Latvia on 8th April. The teams of the 2 Qn partner universities will deepen on internationalisation matters, micro-credential offer and entrepreneurship programmes. This is aligned with the European Alliance Mission and the agreed roadmap.

The 12th International Scientific Conference “Faces of Prosperity. Contemporary Crises”

PSW organises the 12th ISC “Faces of Prosperity. Contemporary Crise“, which will be held in Gdańsk on May 24, 2025. This edition will focus on the interdisciplinary analysis of various approaches to understanding well-being from the perspective and taking into account contemporary crises.

ETECH2025: Exploring Emerging Trends in Economics, Culture, and Humanities

EKA University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with international academic institutions and organizations, invites researchers and professionals to the International Scientific Conference “Emerging Trends in Economics, Culture and Humanities” (ETECH2025). Held on April 23–24, 2025, in Riga, Latvia, the conference will foster discussions on pressing issues in sustainability, economics, business, culture, law, and ICT, encouraging collaboration across diverse fields.

The Qn International Staff Training Week 2024, hosted by Abdullah Gül University, focuses on enhancing understanding of the ERASMUSTERN project and the challenges and opportunities within the Erasmus Programme. This event brings together administrative staff from universities to explore internationalisation, digitalization, youth employment, climate change and more. Through networking and best practice sharing, participants will gain insights to enhance international partnerships and promote inclusive and diverse environments within higher education.
This is in line with the work done by EARMA Conference 2024: ‘Where is the RMA (Research Manager Administrator) Going? The Future of RMA in a Rapidly Changing World’.

Experience the 6th International Week 2024 on “Best Practices of Internationalisation” at PSW, Poland (May 22-26, 2024)

The event will be held on-site and back to back with the 11th International Scientific Conference “Faces of Prosperity,” the conference will delve into several key areas crucial for societal advancement and well-being. Firstly, discussions will revolve around social assistance, examining both the opportunities it presents and the threats it may pose to the overall welfare of communities. Secondly, attention will be given to economic development and eco-development, exploring sustainable approaches to economic growth and environmental conservation. The conference will shed light on the principle of human and social capital in economic development, deepening on the importance of investing in people and social structures for long-term prosperity.
